Kline Township Receives $216,000 Grant for Road Improvements

On Monday, the Governor Shapiro Administration announced that Kline Township in Schuylkill County has been awarded a $216,022 grant from the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) to improve local roadways.

The funding will be used to resurface, restripe, and trim branches over residential and commercial roads within the township.

The MTF provides financial assistance to municipalities, councils of governments, businesses, and other entities to support transportation projects across Pennsylvania. By investing in infrastructure, the Shapiro Administration aims to enhance safety, improve mobility, and spur economic growth.

“This grant will help Kline Township ensure that its roads are safe and accessible for residents and businesses,” said Governor Shapiro. “Our administration is committed to investing in our communities and improving the quality of life for all Pennsylvanians.”

The Kline Township supervisors expressed their gratitude for the grant. “We are excited to receive this funding, which will allow us to make much-needed improvements to our roads,” said [Name of Township Supervisor]. “These improvements will benefit our residents and businesses, and help to make our community a better place to live.”

In total, over $51 million in MTF funding was awarded to 66 projects across 32 counties statewide.
