A fire in Orwigsburg on Wednesday morning has temporarily closed a restaurant.
On Wednesday, around 7:30am, emergency personnel were called to the Federal Square Strip Mall in 700 block of W. Market Street for a reported commercial structure fire.
Initial reports were smoke was coming from the physical therapy business in the mall, but when firefighters arrived, they found a fire in the kitchen of the Brickhouse Restaurant.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area of the restaurant, with the owners posting later on their Facebook page that they would be closed until further notice.
The other tenants of the strip mall were closed Wednesday due to smoke from the fire extending through the connected units.
A State Police Fire Marshal was requested to the scene on Wednesday to determine a cause.
