The Pennsylvania State Police have announced the passing of State Trooper from the Schuylkill County area.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper, Peter K. Conforti passed away while off-duty on Wednesday.
Trooper Conforti joined the forced in 2016 was assigned to the Pennsylvania State Police L Unit in Hamburg. He also grew up and resided in Schuylkill County.
UPDATE: Procession for Pennsylvania
Around 2:30pm, Thursday afternoon, the Pennsylvania State Police will be escorting Trooper Conforti from St. Luke's Hospital in Coaldale to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest in Allentown.
State Police are asking any fire or EMS units to line Route 209 to Route 309 in the Tamaqua/West Penn Township area for this detail.
Procession will begin around 2:30pm.
