Pottsville Man Admits to Sexually Assaulting Two Children


A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after admitting that he sexually assaulted two children.

According to Pottsville Police, Justin Stine, 41, of Pottsville was charged for sex offenses against a child less than 13 years of age for acts that occurred between 5 and 10 years ago. 

Police said a juvenile victim came to City Hall to report that they were a victim of sexual assault, and the suspect was Justin Stine. 

Stine reportedly began assaulting the victim at the age of 5 years old and the assaults continued for a period of 5 years. The incidents occurred from 2014 to 2018 in the City of Pottsville.

During an interview with a Pennsylvania State Trooper, Stine admitted to the offenses and also admitted that there was second victim.

Det. Joseph Krammes of the Pottsville Bureau of Police completed a criminal complaint charging Stine with one count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse a felony of the first degree, 10 counts of aggravated indecent assault five counts are felonies of the first degree and five counts are felonies of the second degree, one count of indecent assault a felony of the third degree and one count of corruption of minors also a felony of the third degree.

Judge Reiley arraigned Stine and set his bail at $75,000.00 straight cash bail. Stine was unable to post bail and was placed into the custody of the Schuylkill County Prison.

Stine is expected to be charged with other offenses as the investigation continues.
