Eleanor Taposkie, 91, formerly of Pine Grove, died Friday August 9, 2024, at Seton Manor Nursing Home, Orwigsburg PA

Born in Minersville, November 8, 1932, She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Stutzman) Earlosky.

She was a retired Machine Operator at the former Cressona Knitting Mill.

Eleanor was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Taposkie, in 2016 a sister Mary Jane Stauffer and a brother Vincent Earlosky.

Surviving are 2 daughters Christine Gorman and her husband Brian of Schuylkill Haven; Melissa Mehle and her husband David of Mckeansburg; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Lehman; Guy Lehman; Matthew Lehman; Robert AllisonIII; Amanda Wessner; 9 great-grandchildren Chase; Matthew; Jack; Aiden; Emma; Aubree; Luke; Kelsey; Andrew 1 brother Aaron Earlosky; 1 sister Elsie Fragale; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Wednesday August 14, 2024 at10:30 AM from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel St Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. The Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik will be officiating.

Friends may call from 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Memorial Fund at the above address. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Carol L. Eidam
, 87, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, August 11th, at Seton Manor.
Carol was born in Shamokin, PA. on May 19, 1937, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Johns) and William H. Eidam, Jr.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Shamokin, until it was closed. She was very active in her church and served on the council for many years.

She graduated from Shamokin High School, Class of 1955 and worked as a Payroll Specialist for Geisinger Hospital Danville, before retiring after many years of employment.

Carol is survived by her nieces & nephews Karen Shoener, wife of Richard, Beth Webber, wife of Doug, Susan Andre, wife of Richard, Alicia Baxter, wife of Mark, Mark Eidam and Scott Eidam. Great nieces are Caitlin Shoener; Addison Baxter Great Nephews Lucas & Logan Shoener; Richard Andre. Carol was predeceased by her brothers Donald & William Eidam

Also surviving are Carol's sisters-in law Marlene Eidam, widow of William and Marie, widow of Donald.

A Religious Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 16th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, PA with Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shamokin PA.

Mary M. Masters, 99, a resident of the Shenandoah Senior Living Community, passed away on July 31, 2024.

Mary was born in Girardville on July 17, 1925, a daughter of the late Frank J. and Mary M. (Stroper) Masters.

She was a graduate of the former Girardville High School, and attended McCann's School of Business in Mahanoy City.

She was retired, having been employed in the local garment industry, and was a member of the ILGWU.

Mary was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and a former member of St. Georges Church in Shenandoah. She also belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxillary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Masters.

Mary is survive by several cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted by Msgr. Ronald Bocian, pastor, at 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 15th, 2024 at the Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights.

The Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah has charge of the funeral Arrangements.

Virginia L. "Gini" Faust, 75, of New Ringgold, passed away Sunday, August 11th, at Geisinger St. Luke's Orwigsburg.

Gini was born in Lansdale, PA on July 28, 1949, a daughter of the late Dorothy M. (Wert) Tomlinson and her husband the late Rev John Worthington Tomlinson, Jr.

She was the wife of Gerald C. Faust, Jr., They were married June 21st, 2003.

Gini was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church New Ringgold.

She was a 1968 High School Graduate of PennRidge. Gini later attended the Pottsville School of Nursing and earned her Bachelors Degree.

She was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, Coaldale, PA., for over 18 years.

Gini was very artistic. She was skilled at all kinds of crafts including crocheting, flower arranging and ceramics. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother she was also a great cook, baker and entertainer. She enjoyed reading, especially the romance novels, and loved her pool and the beach. 

When relaxing she also enjoyed crossword puzzles sudoku and solitaire.

In addition to Jerry, her husband of 21 years, Gini is also survived by her two daughters, Lisa Walcott, wife of Jeff and their children Adalyn, Vance & Gannon; and Melissa Meiser, wife of Devin, and their daughter Emeline.

She was predeceased by her son Robert " Robbie" Eckroth, father of Dylan Eckroth; Nathan Eckroth, husband of Esperanza; Rebecca Bradshaw, wife of Antonio. Also surviving are Gini's great grandchildren Carson Lawell , Logan Eckroth, Amoura and Zyire as well as her sisters, Bonnie Corona, Carol Doner and Connie Busky.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17th at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ringgold, with Pastor Eugene Eckroth officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to time of service, in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, would be greatly appreciated if made to either the National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016-5337 or Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, PO Box 12, 525 Church St., New Ringgold, PA 17960.

Interment will be private.
