Eleanor Taposkie, 91, formerly of Pine Grove, died Friday August 9, 2024, at Seton Manor Nursing Home, Orwigsburg PA
Born in Minersville, November 8, 1932, She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Stutzman) Earlosky.
She was a retired Machine Operator at the former Cressona Knitting Mill.
Eleanor was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Taposkie, in 2016 a sister Mary Jane Stauffer and a brother Vincent Earlosky.
Surviving are 2 daughters Christine Gorman and her husband Brian of Schuylkill Haven; Melissa Mehle and her husband David of Mckeansburg; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Lehman; Guy Lehman; Matthew Lehman; Robert AllisonIII; Amanda Wessner; 9 great-grandchildren Chase; Matthew; Jack; Aiden; Emma; Aubree; Luke; Kelsey; Andrew 1 brother Aaron Earlosky; 1 sister Elsie Fragale; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Wednesday August 14, 2024 at10:30 AM from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel St Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. The Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik will be officiating.
Friends may call from 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Memorial Fund at the above address. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Carol was born in Shamokin, PA. on May 19, 1937, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Johns) and William H. Eidam, Jr.
A Religious Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 16th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, PA with Rev. Michael Petresky officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shamokin PA.
Mary was born in Girardville on July 17, 1925, a daughter of the late Frank J. and Mary M. (Stroper) Masters.
She was a graduate of the former Girardville High School, and attended McCann's School of Business in Mahanoy City.
She was retired, having been employed in the local garment industry, and was a member of the ILGWU.
Mary was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and a former member of St. Georges Church in Shenandoah. She also belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxillary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Masters.
Mary is survive by several cousins.
Graveside services will be conducted by Msgr. Ronald Bocian, pastor, at 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 15th, 2024 at the Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights.
