Douglass J. Lewis, 64, of Pottsville, passed away Monday, August 12th, peacefully with his family by his side at home.

Born in Pottsville on August 16, 1959, he was the son of the late Eugene & Jeanette (Hardy) Lewis.

Doug was the loving husband of Holly (Skibiel) Lewis to whom he married in 1983. They renewed their vows of 40 years, last September.

He was a 1977 graduate of Blue Mountain High School.

Doug retired as a Manager at Ehrlich Pest Control. He had also worked for Union Knitting Mills, Schuylkill Haven.

He attended St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven and was a long-time member of Bethel Baseball Team. He was a member of the Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens, and attended the Tamaqua Adult Daycare.

In addition to his wife, Doug is survived by his eight children, Brooks Lewis, at home; Abigail, wife of Matthew Freiwald, of Wayne Twp.; Ariel Lewis, of Schuylkill Haven; Bryce Lewis, husband of Shana, of North Manheim Twp.; Amelia, wife of Christopher Nemits, of Cressona; Brayden Lewis, at home; Abree Lewis, at home; and Brandt Lewis, at home.

He is also survived by his five beautiful grandchildren, Hudson and Ellarie Freiwald, Maverick and Calum Nemits, and Paisley Lewis; and a sister, Tracy Jannson, wife of Frank Palimier, of Hershey.

A viewing will be held at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, from 5-7 PM Friday, August 16th.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 17th at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Angela L. Hetrick
, 41, of Tremont, formerly of Lebanon, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, August 13, 2024 at the Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center, following a lengthy illness.

Angie was born in Lebanon on August 24, 1982.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Brandon Hetrick.

She is survived by her three children, Cameron Hartman, Enola, Kayla Hartman, Abbottsown, and Destine Cruz, Grantville; a sister, Kasha Herbe, Harrisburg.

Following Angie's wishes, there will be no formal services.

The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. is honored to serve Angie's family.

Sally J. Bixler
, 81, of Valley View, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital, Coaldale surrounded by her family.

Sally was born Tuesday, December 1, 1942, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Henry and Iva Williard Conrad. She was a 1960 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

Sally worked as an seamstress in the local garment factories.

She was a member of the former Jehovah's Witnesses Tremont Congregation and was currently attending the Tamaqua Congregation.

She will be fondly remembered as being kind, loving, and always happy. She enjoyed baking cookies with her grandchildren, hosting family picnics, going on shopping trips, and playing cards. She was her happiest when she was surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Bixler, 1998, and a sister Carol Schwartz.

Surviving are her two sons, Thomas Bixler and his wife Lynn, Tamaqua, and Todd Bixler and his wife Danette, Valley View; her beloved grandchildren, Dusty Deibert, Valley View, Richie Deibert and his wife Lindsay, Palmyra, Bryan Bixler and his wife Kate, North Carolina, Tyler Bixler, Dalmatia, Bianca Bixler, Valley View, Thomas Bixler, Jr, Amber Bixler and Colt Bixler all of Tamaqua; great grandchildren, Hunter, Alina, and Jack Deibert, Sorell Rudisill, Bryn Bixler, and another due in December; two brothers Lynn Conrad and his wife Trudy, Pine Grove, and Henry Conrad and his wife Joan, Valley View; a brother-in-law, Frank Schwartz, Hegins; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sally will be laid to rest privately in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A Bible based talk with be given at a later date by the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Robert J. Lindemuth, 74, of Ashland passed away Monday evening August 12, 2024 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc, 901 Centre St, Ashland PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
