Michael P. Gudleski, 69 of Frackville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28th at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Vincent and Sophie Haluska Gudleski. He had been employed by AT&T and later as a technician for Lucent Technologies until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Vincent and his sisters; Pauline Gudleski and Maryann Burns.

Michael is survived by his brother Ben Gudleski, Frackville, his sister Diane P. wife of Bob O’Connor, Fountain Springs, nephews and nieces; Robert, Nikki, Kathryn and Kristen all of Philadelphia also by ten great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Shirley C. Malick, age 75, of Newville, PA and formerly of Williamstown died August 26, 2024, at the Tremont Nursing Home.

She was born on December 15, 1948 in Tallahassee, FL the daughter of the late Robert Miller and Juanita (Coleman) Miller.

Shirley was married to the late Robert J. Malick for over 40 years.

Throughout her life, Shirley worked at numerous jobs, including Nationwide Insurance in Harrisburg, Zemco Tool and Die in Williamstown, and numerous local garment factories. She retired in 2016.

Shirley attended Grace United Methodist Church in Muir and Carlisle United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially her three grandchildren, who could do no wrong in her eyes. She also enjoyed music (Rod Stewart), soap operas (General Hospital), and movies (Godzilla and King Kong). Although she enjoyed eating out, for Shirley, nothing was better than a grilled hot dog with relish. Shirley loved animals, especially her pet dogs.

Shirley is survived by her son Robert W. Malick and his wife Erin of Newville, PA, son Michael J. Malick and his wife Ashley of Tower City, PA, grandchildren Andrew, Quinn, and Stella as well as three brothers, James Miller of Hawaii, John Miller of California and Robert Miller of Muir, PA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10-11:00 AM at Minnich Family Funeral Homes, Inc., 1238 W Market Street, Williamstown. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital.

Arrangements are being cared for by the staff of Minnich Funeral. We are honored to serve this family at our Minnich Family Funeral Homes, Inc., Williamstown location.

Jeanette E Zerbe
, age 92, of Valley View, went to her eternal home on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

She was born on Thursday, June 23, 1932, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Florence Kessler.

She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

Jeanette and her late husband owned Zerbe Refuse for forty-five years.

She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View; where she sang in the choir and the ladies ensemble.

She was also a member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.

Jeanette loved to keep in touch with her family and friends on the telephone and by sending cards.

Her husband Jesse S Zerbe passed away in 2019.

She is survived by two sons, Craig Zerbe and his wife Tami and Chris Zerbe and his wife Suzanne both of Valley View; a daughter, Tammy J Dengler and her husband Kenny of Ashland; a grandson, Bradley Zerbe and his wife Susan; three granddaughters, Stacey Romberger and her husband Nathaniel, Deidre Dengler, and Desiree Dengler; two great granddaughters, Finley Romberger and Seraphina Zerbe; a great grandson, Benaiah "Ben" Zerbe; and a sister, Larae "Mitzi" Scheib and her husband Ronnie of Millersburg.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc., Valley View.

Burial will be in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.

Kelly A. Kline
, 54, of Llewellyn passed away Wednesday evening August 28, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Bethlehem.

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc, 901 Centre St, Ashland PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Randy L. Miles
, 60, a resident of Robesonia, passed away on August 19, 2024 while a patient at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Born on January 26, 1964, in Pottsville, Randy was the son of Barbara (Mayers) Davenport of Minersville and the late John Miles, and the grandson of the late Anna (Macola) and William Mayers. Randy was a proud 1981 honors graduate of St. Clair High School. He pursued higher education at Penn State Schuylkill campus before completing his bachelor’s degree in computer science at Alvernia University.

Randy maintained a lifelong passion for computer programming and, prior to an automobile accident in 2001, was a senior systems developer and business manager at SCT Corporation.

In addition to his mother, Randy is survived by two sons, Tyler Miles, of Ephrata and Ryan Miles, of Wernersville, and a grandson, Elias. He also leaves behind his brothers, Barry Miles and wife Denise of Clarks Summit, and Marc Miles and wife Judith of Allentown, as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends. He maintained a special bond with his uncle, Ken Mayers of Orwigsburg, who provided steadfast support after Randy’s accident.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Randy's life from 5-7 PM on Friday evening September 6th, 2024 at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville.
