Having selflessly dedicated her life to the loving care of family, friends, and others, Norma Theresa Mozloom, 93, of St. Clair, PA, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at Broad Mountain Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Frackville, PA.

Born in Pottsville on February 2, 1931, Norma was the daughter of the late John and Teresa (Ferris) Mozloom. She graduated St. Clair High School and from the Barbizon School of Beauty. She was accepted at the Julliard School of Music as a mezzo-soprano; instead, she embarked on a career as a talented beautician in her shop on North 2 nd Street in St. Clair.

She enjoyed and excelled in various crafts including beautiful crochet work, ceramics, and sewing. She painstakingly made Christmas and Easter memorable holidays by decorating the house or dyeing and hiding Easter Eggs for the numerous children she “adopted as her own” throughout her lifetime. Her love of music was well known. Stories of the Mozlooms singing to neighbors, and troops during World War Two, family at reunions, weddings, and funerals still resonate in our hearts. It is a talent she shared with her many nieces and nephews now in its third generation.

As a devout, dedicated Catholic and a renowned lifetime member of the St. Clare of Assisi Roman
Catholic Church(formerly known as St. Mary’s), Norma shared her faith through her beautiful voice in
the church choir. She also sang with the local choral group for many years and patiently taught religious education to children in the Parish. Her faith sustained her throughout her life.

Norma is survived by her sister Marie Barber of Sewell, NJ; sister Janet Massoud of Utica, NY; and her
brother John “Jack” Mozloom of Hamilton, NJ. She also leaves behind Nieces and Nephews; great
Nieces and Nephews, and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews who have known her incredible capacity for love, adoration, and generosity.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Vincent Mozloom, Francis
Mozloom, and Thomas Mozloom; three sisters: Anna Joseph, Gloria DeMarkis, and infant Mary
Madeleine Mozloom.

The family is forever grateful to beloved nephew William Murray, of St. Clair, PA, for the many years of compassionate care he provided Norma.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from St. Clare of Assisi
Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock Street, St. Clair, PA 17970. The Rev. Msgr. William F. Glosser will be officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Church.
Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund, at the above
address. Burial will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Norwegian Twp. Bruce T. Hart Funeral
Home, St. Clair, is in charge of arrangements.
