Schuylkill County, PA – PennDOT has announced several road work projects scheduled to begin next week in Schuylkill County.
Motorists are advised to expect lane restrictions and delays during the work zones.
Hegins Township: Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place on PA 25 between Interstate 81 and Dell Road beginning August 12th and continuing through August 16th. Work will be conducted between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Frailey Township: Bridge repair on Interstate 81 South between Exit 112 (PA 25) and Exit 116 (PA 901) will cause lane restrictions on August 12th and 13th, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Kline Township: A lane restriction will be in place on Interstate 81 South between Exit 134 (Delano) and Exit 138 (PA 309) on August 14th for bridge repair work. The restriction will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Mahanoy Township: Motorists traveling northbound on Interstate 81 between Exit 131 (PA 54) and Exit 134 (Delano) should expect lane restrictions on August 15th from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM due to bridge repair work.
PennDOT reminds drivers to slow down when approaching work zones, be alert for workers and equipment, and expect traffic backups.
