The Saint Clair Police Department has announced its inaugural Community Safety Night, scheduled for Wednesday, September 11th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Saint Clair Elementary/Middle School.
This free event aims to foster stronger relationships between the community and local safety organizations. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, and other first responders. There will also be demonstrations, such as a K-9 demonstration by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and a drone demonstration by the Pottsville Fire Department.
Various safety and wellness organizations will be on hand to provide information and resources.
Participants include:
- The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, which will feature a K-9 demonstration.
- The Saint Clair Fire Department.
- The Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Office.
- The Schuylkill County Sheriff's Department.
- The Pottsville Fire Department, which will conduct a drone demonstration.
- Other local law enforcement agencies.
- Schuylkill Hope Center.
- Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc..
- Schuylkill Vision.
- Various safety and security-related businesses and organizations focused on health and wellness in our community and county.
Residents can learn about crime prevention tips, emergency preparedness, and community resources.
Chief William M. Dempsey of the Saint Clair Police Department encourages all community members to attend. "This is a great opportunity for families to learn about safety and connect with their local law enforcement," he said.
