A man and woman died in a house explosion in Lackawanna County on Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 2:15pm on Tuesday in the 1000 Block of Mount Cobb Road in Jefferson Township, which leveled the home.75-year-old Diane Gruss died in the explosion and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Leon Gruss, 91, was transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest in Allentown where he died from his injuries early Wednesday.
Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio reported that Gruss suffered Body Surface Burns that covered 51% of his body.
The Pennsylvania State Police at Dunmore and Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Company are investigating on what caused the explosion.
