The Tom and Pam Twardzik Family Foundation has made a contribution to the Shenandoah community with a $120,000 donation to support the construction of The Center For Education, Business & Arts (CEBA).
Karen Kenderdine, President and Treasurer of Downtown Shenandoah, Inc. (DSI), accepted the generous check from Tom Twardzik, President of Ateeco, Inc., the maker of Mrs. T's Pierogies. The presentation took place at the future site of CEBA on North Main Street.
"Tom is always there to help us, and this generous check from The Tom and Pam Twardzik Family Foundation is truly appreciated," said Kenderdine. "His ongoing input, leadership, and support has, and will be instrumental in so many ways." The contribution will directly fund the first phase of CEBA's construction, which includes completing the building's shell, along with the ground and first floors. These spaces will feature a commercial kitchen, a Penn State classroom, DSI offices, and co-working spaces.
For the Twardzik family, the CEBA project is not just a construction endeavor; it is a tribute to the legacy of Ted Twardzik, Sr., the founder of Ateeco, Inc., and his wife, Jean.
