The Ashland Police Department is looking for a man that robbed the Ashland Turkey Hill at gunpoint on Monday morning.
According to Ashland Police Chief Ger Daley, just before 7:30am, Monday, he was dispatched to the Turkey Hill, located at 1638 Centre Street for a report of a robbery.
Further information provided stated that the convenience store was robbed by a male that fled to the rear and down the alley. The suspect was described as wearing all black including a black mask and dark sunglasses.
Ashland Police along with surrounding area police canvassed the area but could not find the suspect.
Chief Daley spoke with the store clerk who said the suspect was Teddy Fishburn Jr.. The clerk said she knew Fishburn.
She told Chief Daley that the suspect entered the store around 7:20am, walked up to the counter, pulled out a pistol, and said "give the money" as she was putting change into the open register.
The clerk initially refused where the suspect put the gun away, then reached over the counter, put his hand in the register, and forcibly took $40 in cash.
Chief Daley reviewed security footage which confirmed the details in the incident.
Chief Daley and law enforcement made multiple attempts to locate Fishburn Monday morning but were unsuccessful.
As a result, Ashland Police obtained an arrest warrant for Fishburn, 31, of 1003 Brock Street, Ashland, on charges of terroristic threats, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and robbery.
UPDATE: 2:30pm - Suspect is in custody. He was arraigned Monday afternoon by Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $100,000 straight cash bail.
