Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Mahanoy City on Thursday afternoon.
Just after 2:00pm, emergency personnel were called to 401 East Mahanoy Avenue in Mahanoy City for a report of a structure fire.
Further information from dispatched relayed that there was a fire in the kitchen on the stove.
The first firefighters on scene responded light smoke coming from the home and were able to quickly knock the fire.
By the time Chief 48 arrived on scene, Chief Markiewicz requested ventilation for the home.
By 2:20pm, all units were cleared from the scene.
