Frackville Woman Arrested for Assault Following Domestic Dispute

A Frackville woman is facing charges after a domestic incident.

According to Frackville Police, on Thursday, September 19, 2024, Frackville Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of S Nice Street. Officers arrived at the scene around 10:20 PM to find a male victim standing on the front porch, bleeding from his left ear.

The victim informed officers that his live-in girlfriend, Charina Manning, 42, of Frackville, had bitten him during an argument. He also reported that Manning struck him multiple times and threw several household items at him in the course of the altercation.

Manning was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Frackville Police station for processing. Officer Joe Murton charged her with one misdemeanor count of simple assault.

Manning was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge James Reiley in Pottsville. Bail was set at $10,000 unsecured, allowing her to be released without posting cash bail pending future court proceedings.
