On Wednesday evening, the Blue Mountain Girls Soccer team traveled to Pottsville to face off against the Crimson Tide in a Schuylkill League matchup.
Pottsville entered the game with a record of 2-1-1, boasting wins over Marian Catholic and Shenandoah Valley and a tie against Hamburg. Meanwhile, Blue Mountain came in with a strong 3-1 record, highlighted by victories over Southern Lehigh, North Schuylkill, and Pine Grove, with their only loss to Northwestern Lehigh.
The game was tightly contested, but Pottsville's Crimson Tide managed to secure the win with goals from Abbie Davis and Emma Morris. The Pottsville defense held strong throughout the match, preventing Blue Mountain from finding the back of the net.
The win brings Pottsville's record to 3-1-1, while Blue Mountain falls to 3-2. Both teams will look to bounce back and continue their competitive seasons in their upcoming matches.
