The Mahanoy Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a successful Community Day event on Saturday, attracting large crowds with nearly 50 vendors and organizations on hand.
The celebration featured live music and scenic train rides, providing entertainment and activities for all ages.
Attendees enjoyed entertainment and music from Hooligan, The Velvet Suits, and DJ SoundStruk, who kept the atmosphere lively throughout the day. Local artisans, food vendors, and community organizations showcased their offerings.
A standout attraction of the day was the scenic train ride provided by the Reading and Northern Railroad, which offered three trips through the Mahanoy Tunnel and over the Highbridge. The 90-minute excursion traveled to Hometown and back.
