Director John P. Shoener has been a music teacher at North Schuylkill for 5 years, and Director of Bands for 4 years.
This year’s program, LITTLE MONSTERS, features the music of Lady Gaga. The band opens with a captivating arrangement of “Bloody Mary”, followed by a stunning arrangement of “Shallow” We continue with a rocking arrangement of “Bad Romance”, before closing with an epic arrangement of “The Edge of Glory.”
Goals for 2024:
Goals and objectives for the band this season are to continue to show growth and improvement with each performance throughout the season. And to put on a well-executed, entertaining show every single time!Major Events Schedule for 2024:
- North Schuylkill High School Tournament of Bands Show — Saturday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m. (gates open at 3:30 p.m.; event begins at 4:30 p.m.). Tickets are $10 for adult admission and $5 for students/senior citizens. Seventeen different performing bands are scheduled to participate.
- North Schuylkill Hosts Tournament of Bands Chapter 02 Championships — Saturday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.; event begins at 6 p.m.). Tickets are $10. Eleven different performing bands are scheduled to compete.
- North Schuylkill High School “Band-O-Rama” Fall Concert — Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. at North Schuylkill High School’s Hope-Cesari Gymnasium.
