Minor Injuries Reported After Sunday Evening Crash in Pottsville

Minor injuries were reported after a crash in Pottsville.

According to Pottsville Police, the crash occurred on Sunday September 29, 2024, just after 6:30pm, at the intersections of Route 901 and Route 209. 

An investigation by Pottsville Police revealed that a juvenile female of Pottsville was driving a Dodge Avenger traveling westbound on West Market Street when she attempted to make the left hand turn on to the Gordon Nagle Trail. 

The Dodge Avenger was then hit by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Michael Castle Jr of Minersville and two juvenile passengers, who were traveling east on West Market Street. 

The impact of the collision left both vehicles disabled and needing to be towed from the scene. 

Injuries were treated by Schuylkill EMS at the scene with no occupants being transported to the hospital by EMS. Pottsville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
