The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have released information on a DUI checkpoint they conducted on Friday.
According to Frackville Barracks Station Commander Sgt. Shelly Konsavage, the DUI checkpoint was held on Friday, September 13th, 2024 on Route 54 just east of Yatesville Road near Shenandoah.
Over the course of the operation, 78 motorists were contacted with 1 being arrested for suspicion of DUI drug impairment. The driver was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Both barracks within Schuylkill County, Frackville and Schuylkill Haven reported earlier this month that they would be ramping up DUI patrols during September.
