Pottsville Woman Dies from Injuries Sustained in City Crash

 A woman died from the injuries she sustained in a Pottsville crash Monday morning.

The crash occurred just before 6:15am in the area of 2070 West Market Street in the city of Pottsville and involved a vehicle that struck several parked cars.

Lisa Mare Dimitri, 37, of Pottsville, was identified as the driver the vehicle.

Dimitri and a child passenger in the vehicle were transported to a landing zone where they were flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest in Allentown for their injuries.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio, Dimitri was pronounced dead on Monday at 10:23am in the Emergency Room of the hospital.  Her manner of death was ruled as accident and cause was reported as being due to blunt force injuries to the torso due to the motor vehicle accident.

As of this posting, Pottsville Police have not released any details from their investigation or the condition of the child.
