Guy (Billy) Diefenderfer, 80, of Auburn, passed away Friday, September 13th, at his residence. Guy was born in Pottsville, on January 12, 1944, a son of the late Miriam (Degler) and Guy Herbert Diefenderfer.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Auburn and he graduated from the Philadelphia School for the Deaf.
He owned and operated Diefenderfer’s Barber shop, in Orwigsburg, for many years. He was an artist and also loved cars and model cars.
Billy is survived by his sister, Rebecca wife of Anthony Kellner, of Auburn; niece Kellie Kuttrubis, wife of William, Auburn; niece Kattrina Kellner, companion of Brian Koukol, CA. He is also survived by two great nieces Zoe Fessler and Portia Fessler. Billy is also survived by his faithful companion a german wire haired pointer “Wilson".
Private services are entrusted to Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg.
Robert A. Litchfield, 70, of Tower City, a good man, good father, and a proud American, passed away early Saturday morning, September 14, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born October 30, 1953, a son of the late Arthur and Barbara Mann Litchfield.
Bob was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving for 20 years between 1972 and 1992. During his time with the military, he worked counter intelligence.
Most recently, Bob was the owner of Valley Notary Services, Tower City. He also was a member of the American Legion while living in Ohio.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who could often be found out in nature, whether it be camping, fishing or hunting. He enjoyed shooting his guns, woodworking, and had a talent for cooking. Above all else, Bob's friends and family were his world.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leeland and David Litchfield.
Surviving are his three children, Mark Litchfield and his wife Tammy, Virginia, John Litchfield and his wife Stacy, Maryland, and Vanessa Balliet and her husband Chris, Tower City; a sister, Faith Hodges, Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew, Sebastian, Rachel, Lee, Whitney, Ashley, Dawson, Xavier, Evelyn, Amber and her husband Garrett, Alexis, and Kaitlyn; one great grandchild, Henley.
A funeral procession will leave the Dimon Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 2:15 PM to the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Bob will be laid to rest at the cemetery with full military honors at 3:00 PM.

Emma Vlcek, 94, of Nesquehoning and formerly of Tamaqua, passed away on September 12, 2024, in Nesquehoning. She was the wife of the late Joseph Vlcek with whom she celebrated sixty-five years of marriage at the time of his death in 2016.
