Elaine Faia nee Toborowski
, (April 6, 1957- September 28- 2024) of Wildwood Crest, NJ who was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 67. She was the daughter of the late Carmella Vatalare-Toborowski and Andrew Toborowski, half Italian and half Polish. A coal region girl from “Shendo”, PA who never forgot her roots. As much as she enjoyed her time in Wildwood Crest, her heart was and forever will be in Shenandoah.

Known for her infectious laughter and beautiful smile, Elaine brought joy to all who knew her and was a woman of great faith. She was a loving daughter to Carmella and enjoyed the time she spent caring for her mother in her last years. She had a passion for cooking, creating delicious meals that brought her family and friends together. Her creativity shone through in everything she did, from always making life fun for her nieces and nephews at holidays and everyday backyard activities, to spending many years working at Tony’s Farm Market in Wildwood Crest making beautiful fruit trays and baskets. Her favorite part of working was putting a smile on customer’s faces and seeing the children that would come in. Although she hasn’t worked for a few summers, her kindness and love radiated through. Customers were always asking for her, sharing examples of how she made their day with kindness or would give their children pieces of fruit admiring the smiles it would bring to everyone’s face.

She was always there to lend a helping hand to her friends and family, offering support and comfort during their times of need. Her greatest joy was her family, and she lived for the moments spent with loved ones.

Elaine will be deeply missed by her husband Tony, her daughter Maria, and stepdaughter Laura (John). She is predeceased by her sister Judy Reese (Joe) and survived by her 3 brothers- Drew (Jean) Toborowski, Dave (Anne) Toborowski, Tom (Debbie) Toborowski, and 4 sisters- Maryanne Toborowski, Karen (Dino) Cicioni, Frannie Toborowski, and Paula Toborowski (Roseanne Esposito). In addition, there are countless nieces and nephews that will carry on her love in their hearts.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday evening, October 3rd from 4 to 7pm at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah, and again on Friday morning, October 4th from 8 to 9:30am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10am in Divine Mercy, Sacred Worship Site, St. Casimir’s, 229 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald Bocian officiating.
