Nicole "Nicky" P. Fessler, 55, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, September 1st, at her residence.

Born in Cleveland, OH on February 23, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ann (Gullo) and William J. Martin, Jr.

Nicky was the wife of Lee R. Fessler, Sr.

She was employed in personal care.

She was a member of Bible Tabernacle Pentecostal Church and the North Ward Social Club, both of Schuylkill Haven.

Nicky is survived by four sons, Steven A. Fessler, of Ashland; Lee R. Fessler, Jr., husband of Jennifer; Donnie W. Fessler; and Lance M. Fessler, all of Schuylkill Haven.
She is also survived by grandchildren; Jaiden, Pierce, Kaine, Madelyn, Chelsea, Brayden, and Chase; and a brother, Joseph Martin.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 6th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Joann Eckert
, 80, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday, September 3rd, at her daughter & caregiver, Kathy's residence surrounded by family.

Born in Pottsville on June 28, 1944, she was a daughter of the late William & Frances (Hess) James.

She was the widow of David E. "Pop" Eckert, her husband of 55 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joann is also preceded in death by all of her siblings: Richard, Beverly, Bonnie, & Carol James, and her step-daughter, Linda Eckert Schuster.

She was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1963.

Joann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

She had worked as a machine operator for Jetson Direct Mail Services, Inc., Hamburg.

Joann will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister with a heart of gold. She enjoyed going out to eat, supporting her grandchildren by attending their sporting events, and watching her favorite game shows.

Joann is survived by three daughters: Kristine Thomas, Kathy Doran, & Kelly Eckert, all of Pottsville, three step-children: Michele Eckert, wife of Loren Sturchio, Port Carbon, David Eckert, husband of Margaret, Pottsville, & Robert Eckert, New Philadelphia, grandchildren: Leigh Ann (Matt), Keith (Bonnie), Cody, Tiffany, Samantha, Kat, Joseph, & Olivia, step-grandchildren: Jason (Amanda), Michael (Nina), David (Jennifer), Brian, Jen, Michael, John, Angela, great-grandchildren: Tucker, Barrett, Reese, & Ava
step-great-grandchildren: Ariana, Reagan, Nolan, Skyler, Seth, Isabella, & Olivia, several nieces & nephews, and her beloved dog, Walker.

Services are private at the convenience of family.

Veronica Schuler
beloved mother, sister, grandmother, 79 years of age of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East in Pottsville.

Born Monday, September 4, 1944 in Bechtelsville the daughter of the late Earl Boyer, and Mary (Drey) Bauer. Veronica was also predeceased by; beloved husband, Roland B. Schuler, Sr. on January 5, 2023; son, Roland B. Schuler Jr., grandson, Justin Schuler, great granddaughter, Aislyn Schuler; sister, Joan Hildenbrand, Sandy Miller-Grimm, Lillian Boyer; brothers, Douglas Boyer, Charles "Sonny" Bauer, Jr.; step father, Charles Bauer, Sr.

Surviving are; daughter, Gwen Schuler of St. Clair; sons, Scott Schuler and his fiancée Lisa Schneck of Barnesville, Russell Schuler and his wife Brenda of Lehighton, Tracy Schuler and his wife Karen of Mahanoy City with whom Veronica resided; brothers, Linwood Bauer of Alburtis, Larry Boyer of Pottstown; 21 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren.

Veronica had worked at Keystone Transformer in Trumbauresville. Veronica was a devoted Dallas Cowboys football fan, followed the Phillies, and NASCAR as a Kyle Petty fan. She enjoyed watching professional wrestling, playing bingo, and going to concerts. Veronica's greatest enjoyment was that of matriarch to her large extended family who adored her. She will be deeply missed.

A funeral Service will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 from the funeral home at noon. Friends may visit from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services.

Private interment Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Old Zionsville, Pennsylvania.

Frank Chukoskie, 80, of Germanville passed away Tuesday evening September 3, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East in Pottsville.

Marie Hardnock, 77, of Schuylkill Haven passed away at her home on Sunday.

Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Marie Olenick.

Marie was a graduate of Cass Township High School.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church in Minersville.

She was a licensed beautician and spent many years as a hairdresser.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her recently deceased husband John “Jack” Hardnock who passed away in February.

Marie is survived by two daughters, Kelly Marie Gerber of Oakwood, GA and Kathy Lynn Barry of Port Carbon, siblings; Barbara Naradko, David Olenick, and Stephen Olenick along with grandchildren, Nichole Gerber companion to Jamie Philhower, Casey Azbell husband to Alex and Cory Shade husband to Caitlin as well as a great grandchild Brandon Philhower. Also surivied by nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Marie will be laid to rest with her husband on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven is entrusted with services.
