Upcoming Schuylkill County Road Work Announced

 

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming road work projects in Schuylkill County. 

These projects will involve various types of work, including bridge inspections, crack sealing, and other maintenance activities.

Bridge Inspections

• PA 54 in Mahanoy Township: Westbound lane restriction between PA 339 and Gilberton Road on September 27, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• I-81 in Ryan Township: Northbound lane restriction between Exit 124 (PA 61) and Exit 131 (PA 54) on September 26, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• I-81 in Kline Township: Southbound lane restriction between Exit 138 (PA 309) and the Luzerne County Line on September 25, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Crack Sealing

• PA 25 in Hegins Township: Lane restriction with flagging between I-81 and the Dauphin County Line from September 16 to 20, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Other Work

• PA 61 in New Castle Township: Lane restriction for rock removal on the S curve north of Darkwater Road from September 20 to 24, 2024.
• I-81 Ramp at Exit 131 (PA 54) in Mahanoy Township: Northbound ramp to PA 54 East will be closed and detoured for surface repairs from September 16 to 18, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
