Man Wanted for Attempted Murder in New Jersey Arrested in Shenandoah
A man wanted for attempted murder in New Jersey has been taken into custody in Shenandoah following a domestic disturbance call.
According to the Shenandoah Borough Police, officers responded to a domestic dispute at 228 South Jardin Street on Thursday just after 5:30 PM. Shenandoah Police, assisted by the West Mahanoy Township Police, conducted an investigation upon arrival at the scene. During the investigation, they identified the male occupant as Frannicia Venture-Dion, who had an active warrant for his arrest out of Cumberland County, New Jersey.
Venture-Dion, 32, was wanted for charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon. The warrant was issued by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities took Venture-Dion into custody without incident. He was arraigned before the Honorable Magistrate District Judge A.J. Serina on charges of arrest prior to requisition, as he awaits extradition to New Jersey.
Venture-Dion was committed to Schuylkill County Prison with bail set at $500,000 straight cash. He remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
