North Schuylkill Band Takes First Place at Chapter Championships

On Saturday, North Schuylkill High School hosted this year's Chapter 2 and Chapter 4 Championships, showcasing the musical talents of high school bands from across the region. 

The event featured competition among bands from Williams Valley, Lake Lehman, Southern Tioga, Mifflin County, Hazleton Area, Mahanoy Area, Panther Valley, Shamokin Area, Wyoming Area, and North Schuylkill.

The hometown band, North Schuylkill, emerged champion in the Region 2 Group 1-A Division, securing 1st place with a score of 82.630. Their performance earned them additional accolades for High Percussion, High Music, and High Auxiliary. 

North Schuylkill Band Director Jacob Shoener expressed his gratitude to everyone involved, stating, "I'd like to thank all of the students, the band staff, and the band boosters for their contributions to a successful event and season thus far."

With this victory, North Schuylkill now advances to the Atlantic Coast Championships, which will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
