The dispatch for the crash came just after 12:30am with McAdoo units and Hazle Township units being called to 1200 Mile Hill Road in Kline Township.
The crash was reported to involve a vehicle that rearended a tractor trailer. The vehicle was reported to be embedded underneath the trailer. Two people heavily entrapped in the vehicle.
The passenger in the vehicle was extricated and transferred to a medical helicopter and flown for their injuries.
The driver was pronounced at the scene by a member of the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office.
