Schuylkill County Man Arrested by East Union Township Police for Sexually Assaulting 12-Year-Old

An Oneida man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

According to East Union Township Police, on Tuesday, October 15th, at 9 a.m., Chief Christopher Dimmick and Patrolman Douglas Litwhiler arrested 27-year-old Cristofer Rubio Florentino of Oneida.

The arrest stems from a two-month-long investigation where, over a period of several years, Rubio allegedly sexually assaulted and abused a 12-year-old female.

During this period, Rubio had sexual contact with and forced the victim to engage in sex acts with him.

The investigation included several interviews with the victim as well as a forensic interview and examination at the Child's Advocacy Center in Harrisburg.

The Schuylkill County District Attorney's Office was consulted throughout this process.

Rubio was charged with two counts of involuntary sexual deviate intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, indecent exposure, endangering welfare of children, and corruption of minors.

Rubio was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $100,000 straight cash bail.
