Anna Mae Garber, 78, of Barnesville, PA, passed away Thursday, October 10th, at the home of her sister in Tuscarora.Anna was born in Tuscarora, PA on September 6, 1946, a daughter of the late Anna (Shimakonis) and Martin Sedlock.
Anna graduated from Tamaqua High School, class of 1964.
She retired from Grouse Hunt Farms, Tamaqua.
Anna was wife of the late Nathan Garber.
She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Sedlock, of Tuscarora; a brother, Robert Sedlock, of North Carolina, nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by a brother Martin J, and sisters Dorothy Watsula, Kathleen Klinger, and Maryann Malasavage.
Religious Service will be held at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, October 16th, with Deacon David Henninger officiating.

Joan Zawisza, 71, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday, October 9th, at home with her family by her side.Born in Shamokin on May 26, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Joseph L. & Betty Agnes (Laubach) Scopelliti.
She was a 1971 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes, Shamokin.
Joan was a 1976 graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science. She was named "Sweetheart" of the Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Kappa Psi, and was also Campus Queen.
During college, Joan met Dr. Michael J. Zawisza, her loving husband of 49 years.
She was employed as a pharmacist for 33 years.
Joan was an active member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. She served on the finance council, was the former President of the school's Parent/Teacher Association, and assisted with marriage preparation classes for 25 years.
Joan also belonged to Schuylkill County Conservancy.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by four children: Dr. Joseph Zawisza, husband of Dr. Angela Zawisza, Orwigsburg, Dr. Daniel Zawisza, husband of Bethany, Somerset, Dr. Margaret Young, wife of Dr. David Young, Orwigsburg, & Irene Boll, wife of Dylan, Sinking Spring, three siblings: Joseph Scopelliti II, husband of Kim, Annette Nagle, wife of George, & Michael Scopelliti, husband of Lori, and several nieces & nephews. Joan was an extremely devoted "Grammy" to her 12 beloved grandchildren: Jacob, Gabriel, Dominic, & Eli Zawisza, Adam, Nicholas, Joshua, & Benjamin Zawisza, Luke, Peter, & Agnes Young, & Adeline Boll.
A Viewing will be held at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, from 6-8 PM on Sunday, October 20th.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 21st at 10:30 AM at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. An additional time for viewing will be held at the church from 9:15-10:15 AM Monday.
Interment will follow mass at St. Ambrose Cemetery, Cressona.
At the family's request, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to St. Ambrose RCC, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Mollie Katchur, 88, formerly of St. Clair, passed away Friday October 4, 2024, at Kirkland Village, Bethlehem PA .
Born in Reading, August 27, 1936, She was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Brown) Goheen.
Mollie was a 1954 graduate of Reading High School, and went on to earn degrees from both West Chester State College and Kutztown University. She was an English teacher at Northeast Junior High School, Reading and an English teacher and Librarian in the St. Clair School District. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Delta Kappa Gamma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Katchur, and a son, Thomas E. Katchur.
Surviving are son Philip Katchur and his wife Karen of Bethlehem, two granddaughters, Natasha (Bethlehem) and Annika (Philadelphia), as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 West Arch Street, Pottsville with Pastor Chris Rothharpt officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Thursday at the church.

Harrison “Dave” Harper III, 56, Frackville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening at his residence.
Born in Ashland, he was a son of Harrison “Harry” and Janet (Borzok) Harper of Englewood, Frackville. He had been employed as the office manager and performed the car repair estimates for Harper’s Body Shop, Frackville.
Dave was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his children and his dog Duncan attending car shows. Dave was the kindest person you could ever meet helping anyone who needed it.
He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In addition to his parents, Dave is survived by his wife Carla M. (Dower) Harper; his son Harrison D. Harper IV; his daughter Kacey Harper; his brother Daniel and his wife Brenda Harper; his sister Deborah wife of Joby Vivacqua, all of Frackville; his mother-in-law Linda Dower, Ringtown; also by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday, October 18th from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment will be private.

Donald B. Schmoody Wenrich, 96, of Lebanon, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in Juniper Village, Lebanon.
Born on December 14, 1927 in Ravine, he was a son of the late John and Estella Brown Wenrich.
Donald was a 1946 graduate of Pine Grove High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, having attained the rank of EN3 and served for 5 years. He was also stationed at Pearl Harbor.
He was an electrician and worked for the former Alcoa in Lebanon.
Donald was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. He loved woodworking and gardening.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 67 years, Rosina S. Wenrich, on Sept. 4, 2024; four sisters, Orlean Dinger, Eva Bailey, Evelyn Shollenberger, and Ina Wenrich; two brothers, Phaon Wenrich and Glen Wenrich.
Surviving are a son, Donald and wife Susan Wenrich of Omaha, NE; a daughter, Susan and husband David Hauck of Jonestown; 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Caitlin, Paige, Lauren, Ben, Michael and Emily, 5 great grandchildren, Elliott, Rosie, James, Teddy and Lucy.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with SALM John Ziegler officiating. There will be a viewing on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

William F. Nasados, Jr., 69, of Tower City, passed away early Thursday morning, October 10, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - East, Pottsville after a courageous eleven month battle against cancer.
Born in Lykens, July 10, 1955, a son of the late William, Sr. and Shirley Bettinger Nasados.
Will was 1973 graduate of Williams Valley High School.
He was employed at MSC as a forklift operator. Will had a very strong work ethic, and he did not let his illness stop him from working.
Will was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Tower City where he was the custodian for many years.
He was a member of the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose and the Lickdale American Legion.
He could often be found driving his Harley, socializing with his friends at the Moose, or spending time with his sister.
Surviving are his sister, Sharon Batdorf; two brothers, James and Brian Nasados; a nephew, Rick Wagner; a great niece, Avery Wagner. Will is also survived by many dear friends.
Following Will's wishes there will be no services.
