Kathleen Lattis, 77, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kathy was born in Ashland, PA on October 8th, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Charles Jr. and Ruth (Fegley) Heizenroth. Kathy was a 1965 graduate of Ashland Area High School and graduated from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware. After college, she began her career at Morris, James, Hitchens, and Williams Law Firm in Wilmington, Delaware. She later served as the Business Manager of the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine for 28 years until her retirement. She was a past Sec.-Tres. for Brock Cemetery Association and most recently employed as a Secretary at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland.
Kathy’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and a beloved Nanny to her five grandchildren. Surviving are daughter, Megan Geise and her husband Keith, Danville; son, Randy Lattis and wife Krysta, Ashland; grandchildren Conner, Collin, Colton, Lyla and Lily; also surviving are two brothers: Charles Heizenroth III and wife Tracey, Ashland and Raymond Heizenroth, Ashland. Nieces and nephews survive.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 26,2024 at11:00 AM from the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, North 9th St.,Ashland,PA. Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Interment in Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA. Memorial contributions can be made in Memory of Kathy to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, North 9th St., Ashland, PA 17921.

Ann Marie Palerino, 87, of Pottsville, passed away on Monday, October 21st, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Minersville, on March 25, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Olga (Sincovich) Seador.
Marie was a 1954 graduate of Minersville High School.
She was a member of St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville, and a member of the former St. Joseph Church. She also belonged to the Catholic Daughters.
Through the years Marie worked as a secretary for Bashore Mills, Schuylkill Haven, St. Joseph Church and St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville.
Marie enjoyed cooking and vacations at the Jersey Shore, but most enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Palerino, to whom she was married 60 years; son, Dr. James J. Palerino, husband of Jamie, of Port Orchard, WA; daughter, Jodi A. Bakley, wife of James, of Voorhees, NJ; grandchildren: Anthony Palerino, and Shane and John Bakley; two sisters, Theresa Shanoskie, wife of Richard, of Schuylkill Haven; Jeannie Tobin, wife of Greg, of Hershey; brother, Harry Seador, husband of Karen, of Hummelstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 31st, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Father Edward Connolly officiating.
A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, October 30th, at 5-7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the procession will leave for church at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. Patrick's Church, Pottsville.
Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family at their home address to help defray funeral expenses are appreciated.

Born on June 24, 1943 in Hudson, NY, Janet was raised by her grandparents in the small town of West Taghkanic, NY, where she cherished the best days of her life.
Janet dedicated much of her life to hard work as a factory worker, a testament to her
strong work ethic and resilience.
Outside of work, she found joy in playing pool and spending quality time with her family. Janet was known for her selfless nature, always putting others before herself. She had a passion for collecting dolls, a hobby that brought her much happiness. Janet also adored her cat, Marty, who was a beloved companion.
She is survived by her son, Michael Casper, and his wife, Tammy, of Schuylkill Haven, as well as her daughter, Reckell Jenkins, and her husband, Brian, of Taylors, SC. grandchildren: Alicia Allan, Gavin R. Allan III, Nikki Kline, Samantha Sinko, Travis Umbehauer, Samantha Cooper, Mikey Casper, Jr., Angelica Casper, Aleigha Abell, Calista Jenkins, Uriah Jenkins; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two daughters: Rhonda Recklitis and Ruth Casper; a granddaughter, Devon L. Casper; and three brothers, William, Joseph and Anthony.
Janet’s warmth, generosity, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on October 29th at Cremation Society of Schuylkill County, 25 E Main St. Schuylkill Haven.

Rose-Ann Pruden, 77, of Ashland passed away Wednesday afternoon October 23rd at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown.
Rose was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her unwavering energy made it a joy to be around her. She loved sports, if you were at an event with Rose, I’m sure you heard her!!!
Born in Girardville on November 30, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Bernadette (Brennan) and Thomas Kelly.
Rose-Ann was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo in Ashland.
She was the wife of the late Robert E. Pruden Sr. who passed away October 15, 2013.
Rose-Ann graduated from Boonton High School in 1964. She worked for many years at Tri-State Envelope in Ashland.
She volunteered for Ashland Little League, offering her pool and yard as a space for the young men. She volunteered as a cheerleader moderator for the IHS school in Girardville.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by; brother Thomas Kelly; brother Chuck Kelly; brother Bernard Kelly; sister Mary Cadwalder (Kelly).
Rose-Ann is survived by; son Robert (Bob) Jr. in VA and Rich in WA; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; nieces & nephews.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday October 28th from 10-11:00 Am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1115 Walnut St, Ashland PA 17921. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the viewing at 11:00 Am. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery-Ashland.
