Robert B. McCall, Jr, 60, of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 23, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – East.

Born on Pottsville on September 6, 1964. He was a son of the late Robert Sr.and Kay (Spotts) McCall.

He was a graduate from Pottsville Area High School in 1982. He was a member Local 158, Heavy & Highway Laborers Union for over 39 years and worked for James D. Morrissey, Inc. Philadelphia.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a member the Pottsville Football Club, loved to go fishing, listen to Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd and enjoy a few Yuengling’s with his friends. He loved to cook out and hang out with his kids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary McCall.

Surviving is his loving wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Lipsett) McCall of 30 years, a loving daughter, Abbie McCall (significant other Devin Woodford), two loving sons, Matthew McCall (fiancĂ©, Katrina Whalen), and Mark McCall, two sister in law’s, Barbara McCall and Kelly Lipsett, several nieces and nephews

A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Services have been entrusted to Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market Street, Pottsville.

Patrick J. McCabe Sr., 74, Frackville passed away on Thursday, October 24th at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Funeral services will be announced by the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc., Frackville.

Gerald “Jerry” Coyle
, 82, Girardville passed away on Friday, October 25th at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Lost Creek, he was a son of the late John and Marie (McAndrews) Coyle. He was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Girardville now St. Charles Borromeo Parish.

Jerry graduated from the former Girardville High School. He served in the PA Army National Guard and was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Jack Kehoe Division 1, Girardville.

Jerry worked for Continental Bank and the Pennsylvania Employment Benefit Trust Fund in Harrisburg until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Tom Coyle and John Coyle; his sister-in-law, Sandra Coyle.

Jerry is survived by his brother Msgr. Edward J. Coyle, Emmaus; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Coyle, Pottsville; his nephews: Timothy, Michael and John Coyle of Pottsville; Michael Coyle, Bethesda, MD; and a niece, Caroline Coyle, Minersville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at 11 a.m. from St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Girardville with his brother Msgr. Edward J. Coyle as the celebrant and Fr. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as a con-celebrant. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs.

Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc., Girardville, is in charge of arrangements.

Randy John Moyer
, 50, of Palo Alto, passed away Wednesday October 23, 2024 at his home.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Earl and Catherine (Kupusnick) Moyer.

A graduate of Minersville Area High School, he went on to work as a processor at Lehigh Valley Diaries.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Randy E. Moyer in 2017.

He is survived by his daughter Azaria Taylor Moyer of Palo Alto. Brothers, Sisters, Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
