Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Gerald and Grace (Caton) McCabe.
Pat served our country serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Hose Co. #1 in Ashland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Lamar, James, John and Joseph.
Pat is survived by his two sons: Patrick McCabe Jr. and his wife Sara, Frackville; Brian McCabe and Jen Rau of Gordon; his daughter, Angela DeAngelo, Ashland; his siblings: Gerald, Mildred, Robert, Thomas and Kevin; his 7 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at 9 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, November 1st.

Ronald “Supper” Savakinas, of Ringtown and formerly of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ron was born on July 14, 1958, in Shenandoah. He was known for his warm heart, strong work ethic, and love for the outdoors, Ron spent his early years in construction before dedicating much of his career to PPL, from which he recently retired.
Ron’s life was marked by his passion for family, hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors. He was the beloved son of the late John and Helen Savakinas and was preceded in death by his brothers John, Ralph, and George Savakinas, as well as his sister Beverly Savakinas.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Nancy Savakinas, and his cherished daughter Savannah Savakinas of Ringtown, who was truly the light of his life. Ronald is also survived by his sister-in-laws- Helen Savakinas, Roseann Cocco, Louise Tedesco, Theresa Dougert, and his brother-in-law- Mike Tedesco.
Ron’s legacy lives on in the memories of his loved ones, and he will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 30th from 8:30 to 10:00am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Scripture services will be conducted at 10:00am in the funeral home and will be officiated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian. Burial will immediately follow in the Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation @ www.lustgarten.org.
