The man and woman said that on the previous day, they messaged Daniel Maxwell Leary over Facebook Messenger inquiring about an iPhone he was selling.  They agreed to meet that day in the 500 Block of Walnut Street.

The couple arrived at the location just before 7:30pm that evening.  Leary allegedly came up to their vehicle and knocked on the window.  When the couple asked to see the iPhone, Leary asked to see the money first where they then pulled out and showed him $250 in cash.

At that point, Leary pulled out a black and silver pistol from his pocket and told the couple "they shouldn't do anything stupid".  Leary then grabbed the money and walked away.

The couple had screenshots of the Facebook Profile used which had the name "Max Leary".  Police recognized the photo on the profile as Daniel Leary.

Officer Clinton filed the above charges and requested an arrest warrant for Leary.
