A man was flown to the hospital after being rescued from a tree in Butler Township on Wednesday afternoon.
Around 1:40pm, Wednesday, emergency personnel were called to 278 Malones Road for a report of a male stuck in a tree after hitting his head.
Fire companies from Butler Township and Ashland arrived on scene and requested additional help from Frackville and Mahanoy City to get the victim down from the tree.
The victim was rescued and brought down in a stokes basket and flown to an area hospital via LifeFlight.
Units from Englewood Fire, Ashland's Washington Fire Company, Frackville's Good Will Fire Company, and Mahanoy City's West End Fire Company responded to the scene with Butler Township Police.
