The holiday season officially kicked off in Girardville with the anticipated arrival of Santa Claus and Rudolph on Thanksgiving evening.
The annual event, a tradition sponsored by the Girardville Good Times Club, drew families and children ready to celebrate the holidays.
Santa's journey led him through the borough, led by the Girard Hose and Rangers Hose Companies, and led to borough hall.
At borough hall, Santa met with children individually, listened to their Christmas wishes, and presented each with a special treat.
Kids also participated in ornament-making.
Thanks to the efforts of the Girardville Good Times Club and local volunteers, the event once again brought warmth and joy to the community.
