The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office has been requested to the scene of a crash near Mahanoy City.
The call came in around 3:00pm with emergency personnel being called to the intersection near the entrance to Fabcon on the Morea Road in Mahanoy Township for a report of a crash involving a tractor trailer and a minivan.
According to Schuylkill County communications, police and fire arrived on scene and confirmed one class 5 victim.
Morea Road is expected to be closed for an extended period of time at the intersection with Burma Road and at the intersection with Vulcan Hill Road.
