Jane Long, 94, of Ashland passed away early Friday morning November 1, 2024 at Shenandoah Senior Living Community surrounded by her family.

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc. 901 Centre Street Ashland, PA 17921 has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Fred H. Haeseler, 78, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, October 31st, at Orwigsburg Center surrounded by his family.

Born in Landingville on September 2, 1946, he was the son of the late James & Minette (Heffner) Haeseler.

Married 54 years, he was the husband of Barbara E. (Keller) Haeseler.

He graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School.

Fred worked as a boilermaker for 20 years for the Local 13 Union. He retired from the former Shalmet, now Cartech, having worked in the maintenance department.

He was a member of Faith Reformed United Church of Christ, Landingville. Fred was a member of 2nd Mountain Rod & Gun Club, Landingville and Port Clinton Fire Companies, East Ward Social Club, and the Double Eagle Hunting Camp. He was also a member of the Masons, Consistory and was a Shriner.

In addition to his wife, Fred is also survived by his daughter, Beth, wife of Joseph Hoffman, of Landingville; son, James "Jimbo", husband of Leanne Haeseler, of Schuylkill Haven, three grandsons, Michael Haeseler, husband of Michelle, Brandon Haeseler, & Jake Haeseler, husband of Julie; two great-grandsons, Memphis & Myles Haeseler; and his niece, Michelle, wife of Ivan Ketchum.

In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by brothers, James Haeseler and Gerald Sell.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 7th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Rev. Jim Fidler officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service.

Interment will be held privately.

At the family's request, donations in Fred's memory may be forwarded to Landingville Fire Company 1 Firehouse Rd. Landingville, PA 17972 or Faith Reformed United Church of Christ, 8 Church St. Landingville, PA 17972.

Edwin R. Andrews Sr., 88, of Lost Creek and formerly of Maine passed away peacefully at the home of his granddaughter in Oneida.

Edwin served two years for the United States Army before enlisting for an additional 10 years with the United States Navy where he served upon the USS Newport News (CA-148).

He was a proud employee of Cambridge Lee Industries in Reading for 47 years as a maintenance mechanic.

Edwin was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Berger) Andrews; a son, Warren Andrews and a daughter Barbara Jean Holmes.

Edwin is survived by his two sons: Edwin Andrews Jr. and his wife Deborah, Frackville; Charles Andrews and his wife Colleen, Ashland; his daughter, Sheri Andrews, Ashland; his daughter-in-law and caretaker , Tracey Brode, Oneida; his brother, Ned Andrews, Maine; his grandchildren: Amanda Bankes and her husband Ralph; Edwin Andrews III and his wife Rosie; Coral Stalnecker and her husband Mark; Jasmine Andrews; George Holmes and his wife Jenny; Tasha McCabe and her husband Justin; John Russen; Devin Holmes; Kaitlyn Holmes; his great-grandchildren: Zoey, Lydia, Wyatt, Jacob, Lyza, Brock, Luke, Nova, Evan, Mason and Waylan.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 5th at 11 a.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville with Pastor Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Family and friends are invited to Edwin’s viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment with military honors will follow in the United Protestant Cemetery, Girardville.
