Kimberly A. (Bradley) Van Horn
, 51, of Zion Grove, passed away Sunday evening, November 10, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Ashland, August 15, 1973, she was the daughter of James and Susan (Smith) Bradley of Mahanoy Plane; and spent the past five years in Zion Grove, after moving from Mahanoy City.

Kimberly was a Family Advocate for Child Development Inc., Fountain Springs and Shenandoah. She enjoyed spending time shopping, baking, gardening, going to concerts, hunting and fishing, but her favorite joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her parents, are her son, Logan Van Horn and his fiancé Kendra Berezwick, Mahanoy City; two sisters, Nicole Sassaman and her husband Roy and their children, Jenna and Andrew, Selinsgrove, and Shauna Bradley and her husband Elton Edgar and their children, Joseph and his fiancé Laura, Hannah, Parker, Simolena, June, and Alex, Mahanoy Plane; her companion, Thomas "Spike" Moyer, Bloomsburg; and several cousins, aunts and uncles including Tina Engelberger and her husband Joseph with whom she resided in Zion Grove; and her loving dog Gracie Mae. and her many friends that she thought of as family.

Services for Kim will be held Saturday afternoon with a Memorial Visitation from 3 PM to 5:30 PM at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, followed by a Memorial Service at 5:30 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to her family C/O Harman Funeral Home, PO BOX 129 Rock Glen, PA 18246 to help with funeral expenses.

Curtis J, Hranchock
, 73, a resident of Minersville, passed away on Monday, November 11th, 2024 at the Lehigh Valley - Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown.

Curtis was born in Pottsville on December 7, 1950, a son of the late Steve and Anna Marie (Davis) Hranchock. He was a graduate of the Pottsville High School, and employed locally beginning first at Parkway in Schuylkill Haven then Penn Steel Foundry in Hamburg until its closure. Curtis retired as a driver from Garda World Security, working out of the Reading location.

Curtis was a 20 year volunteer firefighter with the former Independent Hose Company in Minersville. He also enjoyed shooting pool and fishing and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, along with Penn State football.

In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by a brother Jerome and a sister Glynis Dixon.

Above all else, Curtis loved his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rose (Gabel) Hranchock, and two sons, Scott and his wife Cynthia of Minersville and Keith and his fiancee Tracy of Pottsville. Three grandchildren, Trent, Trisha and Bella, along with nieces and nephews also survive, as does his sister, Roseann Kimmel of Duncott.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, November 16th, from 9-11 AM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville, followed by a Funeral service, which will be held at 11 AM.

Terri L Willard
, age 52, of Pine Grove, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on Wednesday, September 27, 1972, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Harry Elison and the late LaRaue E (Jackson) Elison.

Terri was a 1990 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and a 1994 graduate of Lycoming College.

She was a teacher for the Blue Mountain School District for twenty-five years.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.

She was also a member of PSEA.

Terri enjoyed spending time with her pet boys Dozer and Toby and with her family.

She is survived by her husband Daniel R Willard, to whom she was married for 15 years.

She is also survived by a sister, Marie Elison of Deer Lake; her father in law, Fred Willard of Gratz; several nieces and nephews; and her boys, Dozer and Toby.

As per Terri's request there will be no services.

Memorial contributions can be made to Blue Mountain Eagle Foundation, 685 Red Dale Road, Orwigsburg PA 17961.

Cathy G Herb
, age 65, of Hegins, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her residence, exactly one year from the date of her mother's passing.

She was born on Saturday, July 25, 1959, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Norman R "Dick" Rothermel and the late Nancy F (Hoffman) Rothermel.

She was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

Cathy was the former owner of the Klingerstown Hotel. She also worked for Maxines Restaurant and was a bartender at several local clubs.

She was a member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready.

She was also a member of VFW Post 8237 Valley View, the Valley View Gun Club, and the Hegins Fire Company.

Cathy enjoyed horses, cooking, her dogs, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded death by two brothers, Rich Rothermel and Randy Rothermel.

She is survived by her husband Barry R Herb of Hegins; a daughter, Stacy L Andracchio and her husband Ryan of Hegins; a son, Robert "Buster" R Herb of Hegins; two granddaughters, Kirsten L Wenrich and her husband Mike of Hegins, and Kira B Andracchio of Hegins; great grandson, Kaden W Wenrich of Hegins; three brothers, Timothy Rothermel of Klingerstown, Mike Rothermel of Klingerstown, and Kenny Rothermel of Leck Kill; sister, Gail Laudenslager of Leck Kill; and several nieces and nephews.

As per Cathy's request there will be no services.

Memorial contributions can be made to Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Dr, Pine Grove, PA 17963.

Scott A. Dawson
, 59, of Meadow View Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at home.

Born on June 22, 1965 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Albert B. and Elsie Moyer Dawson.

He was a graduate of Blue Mt. High School and went to school for welding, heavy equipment operator, and obtained his CDL license.

Scott was a truck driver.

He was a volunteer firefighter with Summit Station Fire Co. He loved firearms and clay shooting, taking his daughter hunting, and fishing with his wife at Sweet Arrow Lake. He loved his family and would do anything for anyone.

Surviving are his wife of 8 years, Amy Brown Dawson; three children, Christine Dawson of Schuylkill Haven, Bradley and wife Brit Dawson of Pottsville, Misty and husband Josh Krammes of Pine Grove; a "brother" Ron and wife Milagros Dietrich of Temple; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Ron Dietrich officiating. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 139 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory to help with expenses.

Mary Kay Cray
, 73, of Girardville passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 13th with her family at her side.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Marion (Green) Squires.

She was a 1968 graduate of the former Immaculate Heart Academy, Fountain Springs.

Mary Kay worked as a secretary for the Diocese of Allentown for over 40 years. She worked for the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Immaculate Heart and Trinity Academy Schools.

Mary Kay is survived by her husband of 54 years, Francis J. Cray, Girardville; her son, Kieran Cray and his wife Kristy Corrigan, Girardville; his two daughters: Megan Cray and her husband Merlin Grose Jr., Girardville; Jennifer Luscavage and her husband Tony; Kieran Connors, Girardville; her brother: Tom Squires and his wife Mary Kay, Girardville; her grandchildren: Sidney Cray, Mason Cray, Brittannie Luscavage, Alex Luscavage and Nick Luscavage.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 12 p.m. Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
