Edwin R. Andrews Sr., 88, of Lost Creek and formerly of Maine passed away peacefully at the home of his granddaughter in Oneida.
Edwin served two years for the United States Army before enlisting for an additional 10 years with the United States Navy where he served upon the USS Newport News (CA-148).
He was a proud employee of Cambridge Lee Industries in Reading for 47 years as a maintenance mechanic.
Edwin was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Berger) Andrews; a son, Warren Andrews and a daughter Barbara Jean Holmes.
Edwin is survived by his two sons: Edwin Andrews Jr. and his wife Deborah, Frackville; Charles Andrews and his wife Colleen, Ashland; his daughter, Sheri Andrews, Ashland; his daughter-in-law and caretaker , Tracey Brode, Oneida; his brother, Ned Andrews, Maine; his grandchildren: Amanda Bankes and her husband Ralph; Edwin Andrews III and his wife Rosie; Coral Stalnecker and her husband Mark; Jasmine Andrews; George Holmes and his wife Jenny; Tasha McCabe and her husband Justin; John Russen; Devin Holmes; Kaitlyn Holmes; his great-grandchildren: Zoey, Lydia, Wyatt, Jacob, Lyza, Brock, Luke, Nova, Evan, Mason and Waylan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 5th at 11 a.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville with Pastor Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Family and friends are invited to Edwin’s viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment with military honors will follow in the United Protestant Cemetery, Girardville.

Theresa (Stocus) Andruscavage of Mahanoy City and currently a resident of Shenandoah Senior Living Community, passed away Thursday at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pottsville.
Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Kupetz) Stocus and was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School. She had been employed by Janowicz Dress Factory formerly in Mahanoy City and City Shirt Factory in Frackville. She was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. She enjoyed going to Pennsylvania Polka and playing Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Frank Andruscavage and brothers William and Joseph.
She is survived by two sons Frank and his wife Grace of Mahanoy City and Ron and his wife Dianne, Theresa's caregiver of Frackville, grandchildren Aaron, Brent and Nikki Step grandchildren Casey, Sara, Kim, Abbie and Lois, nieces and nephews and grand dogs Molly and Sammy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher at 11 AM Thursday at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.
Interment will be privately held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church beginning at 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Contributions in her name to Hillside SPCA would be appreciated and will be accepted at the visitation.
