John Card, Sr., 64, of Lansford, died on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of Catherine (Welfel) Card to whom he was married for 36 years this past October. 

Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Richard, Sr. and Florence (Ivory) Card. John was employed as a Panther Valley school bus driver for Kistler Transportation. An avid Mets fan, he was ecstatic about his 1965 Pontiac Tempest and loved his family and friends. 

John is survived by a son, John Card, Jr. of Lansford; a daughter, Jessica Dyer and her husband Jay of Nesquehoning; sisters, Joyce Acosta of Coaldale, Terry Masters of Lansford, Evelyn Becker and her husband Kelly of Summit Hill, and Lynn Hoback of Delaware; brothers, Timothy Horn of Pottsville, and Ricky Card of Lansford; granddaughters, Madelin and Maeve Dyer; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur Card, Steven Card, Allen Card, and Richard Card, Jr. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the family. Services at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made at www.zgfuneralhome.com.
