Rita Boczkowsky
, aged 97, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25th, at Shenandoah Senior Living Community. Born on January 2, 1927, in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rose (Saltonis) and Joseph Domkus.

Rita was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City, PA. She graduated from Mahanoy Area High School in the class of 1944

and went on to have a fulfilling career as a Line and Type Operator and Seamstress, working with Saule Publishing, Seiders Printing Pottsville, and the former Russel Williams Dress Factory. She was also a proud member of the United Garment Workers Ladies Union.

Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Boczkowsky, her brothers Joseph Popolsky & Vincent Strockis, and her sister Helen Yodis.

She is survived by her brother, Edward, and his wife Frances Domkus, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 AM on Monday, December 2nd, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 9 to 10 AM at the parish.

Interment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery in Mahanoy City, PA.

Linda M. Hause
, 76, of Tower City, passed away peacefully, early Sunday morning, November 24, 2024 at her home.

Born in Lewistown, Monday, September 6, 1948, a daughter of the late Reuben and Mildred Young Tyson.

Linda was a 1967 graduate of Greenwood High School.

She was retired from the former Bobbie Roger's Garment Factory in Tower City and Wiconisco.

Linda was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Tower City American Legion Auxiliary.

She enjoyed to camp with her family and had a camp at the Juniata River for over 32 years. Following their time at the Juniata River, she and Eddie enjoyed traveling in their motor home. She also was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed going to the horse races with her husband. Above all else, Linda will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family's needs above her own.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Snyder and Sandy Diven.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Edward P. Hause; two daughters, Michelle Hause (Jeremy Keister), Williamstown, and Heather Hause, Tower City; three grandsons, Josh and Jake Hause, and Dylan Madenford; great granddaughters, Kerah, Annabelle, McKenna, and one on the way; a brother, Reuben Tyson, New Cumberland; a sister, Sharon Kuhn, Loysville; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Linda's life will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11am at the chapel. A luncheon and time of fellowship will immediately follow at the Christ United Methodist Church Social Hall, Tower City.

Mary Lou Gaughan, 97, of Ashland passed away Sunday November 24th at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.
