Sylvia Kull, 78, formerly of Minersville, passed away Tuesday November 5, 2024 at Pottsville Rehab & Nursing Center.Born in Minersville, February 16, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Jennie (Pol) Stanakis.
She was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School. She went on to work as a clerk at Stop N Go and Hills. She loved playing BINGO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold J. Kull Jr. in 1986; a son Harold J. Kull III in 1976.
She is survived by two daughters Debra Sargant and her husband Robert II of Tamaqua; Kathryn Hamm and her husband Paul of Minersville; two sons Charles Kull of Minersville; Robert Kull of Harrisburg; four grandchildren Christopher; Matthew; Jenna and her companion Matthew; PJ and his wife Heather; four great-grandchildren Harley, Dominic, Sophia and Jace.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday November 12, 2024 from Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St. Minersville, PA 17954. Friends may call from 8:00 AM until the time of the services. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Branch Township. Dutcavich Funeral Home has charge.

Born in Palo Alto, PA on April 11, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Camille (Maccarone) Pilo.
Flavia wasa graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1948. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church St. Clair and also a member of the former St. Joseph Church in Pottsville and the former St. Stephen Church in Port Carbon.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John James McGovern, brothers: Pasquale, Anthony, Albert, Joseph Pilo and sisters: Mary Carestia, Yolanda Walsh, and Anne Merlino.
Flavia is survived by son John J. McGovern and his wife Debra, Laurel Springs, NJ; grandsons: John McGovern and Timothy McGovern and his wife Meagan; great-granddaughters: Mara and Evie McGovern;and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St Clair on Wednesday November 13th at 11AM, with Msgn William Glosser officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday morning from 9:30-11AM at the Church.
Interment will be held in the St Joseph Cemetery in Pottsville.

She was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1953, a daughter of the late Quentin S Romberger and the late Jean E (Smith) Romberger.
Donna was a 1971 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
She worked in several area garment factories prior to her retirement.
She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
Donna enjoyed walking, watching her grandchildren play sports, and watching Wheel of Fortune.
She is survived by a son, Brian A Romberger and his wife Lesley of Hanover, MD; grandson, Gavin L Romberger; granddaughter, Brielle N Romberger; sister, Diane Gallagher of Bloomsburg; and a nephew and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Pat Wirick officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the church.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Klingerstown.

Born in Northampton, Durrell was the son of the late George and Alice (Snyder) Seip. He was a 1950 graduate of Northampton High School, earned a Bachelor of Science from Muhlenberg College in 1954, and was ordained in 1957 at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He later earned a master’s degree from Misericordia University.
Pastor Seip, who preferred to be called Jim, was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Jim Thorpe and served on several committees for larger churches. His ministries included several parishes throughout his career including St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in White Haven, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Kingston, Zion Lutheran Church in Frackville, and the White Church ministry serving Barnesville, Quakake, Delano, and Locust Valley. Jim also served in the administration of Lutheran Welfare Service of Northeastern Pennsylvania before retiring in 1998.
He was a member of the Lion’s Club in several communities and also a former Director of Meals on Wheels. Jim is survived by two daughters, Lauren and her husband Rory Young of Roswell, Georgia, and Donna and her husband Joseph Trimmel Jr. of Nesquehoning; one son, David Seip of Delaware; grandchildren, Jillian and her husband Ian Horten, Aimee and her husband Sean Roth, Douglas Seip and his companion Maya Schane, and Joseph Trimmel III and his companion Leah Sabatino.
Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church, 6th & North Street, Jim Thorpe with the Pastor John Hassler officiating. Call from 10-11AM on Tuesday at the church.
Interment at Allen Union Cemetery, 4th and Main Streets, Northampton, will follow the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 36 West 6th Street, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 or to the charity of your choice.

Kay E. Kemmerer, 84, of Andreas, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024, in her home. She was the wife of the late Arden M. “Art” Kemmerer for 44 years until his passing on February 23, 2010.
Born in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Franklin D. and Ruth M. (Kidd) Fisher. Kay was a housewife and homemaker, and she supported her family and all their endeavors. She was an excellent cook, an avid reader, and she love animals. She was of Protestant faith.
She was also preceded in death by sister, Elsie Kuehn.
Surviving are daughter, Karen, of Andreas; brother, Franklin, and his wife, Gina, of Lehighton; two sisters, Joan Bright, of Geneseo, NY, and Sandra, wife of Hal Totten, of Maryland; and nieces and nephews.
Private services at the convenience of the family.
