Schuylkill County Woman Faces 112 Felony Charges for Alleged Credit Card Fraud and Identity Theft in St. Clair

A St. Clair woman is facing dozens of access device charges for allegedly racking up thousands of dollars on someone else's credit card.

According to St. Clair Police, they were advised of a victim who reported fraud on his Home Depot credit card.  The victim told police that $6,906.96 were charged to his account between June 13th, 2024 and August 22nd, 2024.

Officers were able to review credit card statements which showed 56 separate transactions were made with the card between those dates.  A review of video from the store showed Jodie Leigh Forney, 46, of St. Clair as the person using the victim's card.

As a result, St. Clair Borough Police have charged Forney with 56 counts of Felony Access Device Fraud and 56 counts Felony Identity Theft.  Police filed the charges through Magisterial District Judge Dave Plachko's office on November 4th, 2024.
