The holiday spirit is set to soar this year with Mrs. T’s Pierogies’ 17th annual Skydiving Santa event.
Taking place on Friday, November 29, at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the event promises a magical day filled with festive cheer and family fun.
The gates open to the public at 10:30 a.m., and excitement will build as attendees await Santa’s grand entrance at noon. Weather permitting, Santa will skydive into the stadium, wowing the crowd with his daring arrival. In case of unfavorable conditions, Santa will make his appearance via helicopter or firetruck.
The festivities don’t stop there. The first 200 children under 12 will receive a special gift upon arrival. Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be on hand to greet attendees and spread Christmas magic. Kids can also enjoy having their faces painted by Santa’s elves, adding an extra touch of holiday whimsy.
The Shenandoah Valley School District Band Boosters will operate a concession stand, offering refreshments to fuel the fun.
After Santa’s arrival, he will lead a parade through the town, accompanied by borough fire trucks and the Shenandoah Police Department. The celebration will conclude at Borough Hall, where Santa will personally greet residents.
