Tri-Valley Lions Club Honors November Outstanding Student of the Arts



The Tri-Valley Lions Club is proud to announce Mia Artz as the Outstanding Student of the Arts for November 2024. Mia, a senior at Tri-Valley High School, was selected for her exceptional talent in music, particularly her skills with the clarinet and singing.

Mia, the daughter of Rachel and Tim Artz, resides in Spring Glen. She stands out not only for her musical achievements but also for her dedication across various school and extracurricular activities. At school, Mia is a valued member of several clubs and organizations, including Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Book Club, Marching and Senior Band, National Honor Society, Varsity Softball and Soccer, Drama Club, Spanish Honor Society, and Senior Chorus.

Her list of achievements is equally impressive. Mia has represented her school as a regional, state, and national contestant in the FBLA Journalism category. She was the state runner-up in the Sons of the American Revolution Essay Contest for 2023-24 and has earned the prestigious honor of 1st chair in County Band. Additionally, she serves on the Schuylkill County Junior Advisory Board, demonstrating her commitment to civic engagement and leadership.

After graduation, Mia plans to attend a four-year college, where she will major in neuroscience and Spanish, with the ultimate goal of becoming a doctor. Her passion, dedication, and drive make her a deserving recipient of this honor, and the Tri-Valley Lions Club congratulates her on her accomplishments and wishes her success in all future endeavors.
