The St. Clair Police Department has released additional information on the incident involving shots fire in Walmart on Sunday.
In a report released by Police Chief William Dempsey, it stated that on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at approximately 3:56 PM, officers from the Saint Clair Police Department responded to reports of shots fired inside the Walmart located at the Coal Creek Commerce Center in Saint Clair.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a physical altercation occurred between two male suspects and a third male victim inside the store. During the altercation, the male victim involved in the incident discharged a firearm. No injuries occurred as a result of this discharge. The individual who discharged the weapon is fully cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
The Walmart store was evacuated promptly to ensure the safety of all customers and employees. Saint Clair Police, along with the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Forensic Sciences Troop L Reading, processed the scene for evidence, and the store has since been deemed safe.
The incident appears to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the community. The Saint Clair Police were assisted at the scene by multiple area law enforcement agencies and other first responders.
