A reported fired shot closed the St. Clair Walmart and drew a large police response on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred just before 4:00pm at the Walmart, located at 500 Terry Rich Boulevard in St. Clair.
Skook News spoke to several witnesses that were inside the store at the time and confirmed the incident began when a large bang was heard from the cosmetics area inside the store.
Customers and employees were immediately cleared from the store to the parking lot and the area by Tractor Supply.
Over a dozen police units converged on the store and the entrance to the Coal Creek Commerce Center at the intersection of Route 61 and Terry Rich Boulevard.
As of 6:30pm, the entrance remains closed.
Authorities tell us one person was taken into custody and no injuries were reported. The identity of the person in custody was not available.
