Ashland Kicks Off the Holidays with Santa, Tree Lighting, and Parade

On Saturday night, Santa Claus lit the Ashland Christmas Tree and met with families to spread some holiday cheer.

The Ashland Rotary organized the event with assistance of the Fire Department and Police Department.

The parade which has been held the past few years along with the borough's Old Fashioned Christmas was moved back this year to its traditional Saturday after Thanksgiving.

The parade gathered on 21st Street prior to moving down Centre Street to the Christmas Tree at the Mother's Memorial.

At the Memorial, over 100 children waited in anticipation to see Santa and give him their Christmas lists and grab a photo with him.
